City of Brookfield Farmers Market

City Of Brookfield Farmers Market

The Brookfield Farmers' Market was created by a group of volunteers who wanted to establish a market for local farm produce in Brookfield. The idea had been a part of the Brookfield Master Plan, and in 1990 , the volunteer group obtained the necessary approvals and permits to make it happen. The Brookfield Civic Center Farmers' Market opened in 1991, with a half dozen farmers and was staffed by Brookfield resident volunteers.

Today after 27 years of operation the market is thriving. It has become not only a place where residents can purchase fresh Wisconsin grown products, but it has also become a Saturday morning meeting place for many of the residents. It is a Saturday morning ritual for Brookfield residents and customers are drawn from many surrounding communities. The market merchants provide quality Wisconsin grown products that are sold at reasonable prices. Many of the farmers have been at the market for well over 10 years. The market continues to grow in size and popularity.

Bodega

The Bodega at Breese Stevens Field

Some of you may be confused as to why The Bodega at Breese Stevens Field looks nothing like a convenience store. We chose the name to represent the incredible variety of goods you will find at our market and the vendors behind them. Our phenomenal lineup of vendors offer anything from unique maple syrup, to handmade jewelry, delicious caramels, unique antiques, fresh micro-greens, one of a kind artwork, and everything in between.

The Bodega is unlike any market you will find in Madison. Our spacious field provides ample room for our vendors, food carts, an interactive children’s area, beer and wine sales, live music, and plenty of yard games for some friendly competition. The Madison Public Library Spoke-n-words (a bicycle powered micro-library!) will be at every 2019 Bodega providing exciting and enriching activities and books for the younger Bodega goers.

The Bodega was created with community in mind. We want to see small local businesses thrive and provide our community a space to shop, relax, and have a good time with friends and family. Coming in to our third season of the Bodega we are excited with the new changes we have made, new vendors we are bringing in, and new faces we hope to see each date!

Easter Pop Up Shop

Easter Pop Up Shop

Just as in years past, we stocked up on confectionery products from Europe to help make your Easter celebrations more like the ones you remember from your childhood.

This year we've purchased a wonderful variety of items, from foil-wrapped hollow milk chocolate rabbits, eggs, and chicks, to chocolate-filled papier maché eggs from Germany, to real chicken eggs filled with hazelnut truffle. We've also got small chocolate praline eggs in both milk and dark chocolate, from France, chocolate lady bugs, sheep, cats, frogs, butterflies and more, from Germany, pastel and black licorice allsorts, katzenzungen, truffles, liqueur filled chocolates from France and Germany, and more. Finally, would it be Easter if we didn't have whipped cream eggs from Buddy Squirrel? And of course we'll have a selection of our buttery-delicious handcrafted caramels too!

We have a marvelous selection; but quantities are very limited. We suggest that you shop early. As an added incentive, if you spend $20 or more, on our imported holiday goodies, you’ll get an Easter magnet or sticker with Dagger, our mascot, on it. If you spend $50 or more, we’ll give you a magnet/sticker and a bag of 10 of our foil wrapped milk chocolate Easter Eggs; and if you spend $75 or more, we’ll give you a magnet/sticker and a bag of 10 of our foil wrapped milk chocolate Easter Eggs, and we'll give you a 10% discount.

This is your chance to choose from the "cream" of our selection. Don't wait until the best stuff is sold out!
