City of Brookfield Farmers Market

City Of Brookfield Farmers Market

Opening of our 28th Season

The Brookfield Farmers' Market was created by a group of volunteers who wanted to establish a market for local farm produce in Brookfield. The idea had been a part of the Brookfield Master Plan, and in 1990 , the volunteer group obtained the necessary approvals and permits to make it happen. The Brookfield Civic Center Farmers' Market opened in 1991, with a half dozen farmers and was staffed by Brookfield resident volunteers.

Today after 27 years of operation the market is thriving. It has become not only a place where residents can purchase fresh Wisconsin grown products, but it has also become a Saturday morning meeting place for many of the residents. It is a Saturday morning ritual for Brookfield residents and customers are drawn from many surrounding communities. The market merchants provide quality Wisconsin grown products that are sold at reasonable prices. Many of the farmers have been at the market for well over 10 years. The market continues to grow in size and popularity.

Mitten Fest 2018

Mitten Fest 2018

For the past five years, Burnhearts’ Mitten Fest has helped combat cabin fever for thousands of people who converge in a two-block stretch on Bay View’s Potter Avenue (and part of Logan the last two years) with a wintry mix of live music, food, beverages, and charity.

That equation alone is enough to have more than 4,000 people already pledging their interest in attending the 6th annual Mitten Fest on Facebook, even though the entertainment lineup hasn’t been announced.

If the music isn’t enticing enough, Burnhearts will serve rare and limited beers from Central Waters Brewing Company and Founders Brewing Company, barrel old fashioneds, Korbel Brandy and Tullamore Dew craft cocktails, and ginger brandy (plus a full bar inside).

An array of TBA local vendors will sell food and non-alcoholic beverages. Cortney Heimerl (of Hover Craft) will enlist a varied grouping of local vendors for an art, craft, and maker fair.

As always, Burnhearts will also accept cash and non-perishables for Hunger Task Force, Inc. along with clothing donations.

re:Craft & Relic

re:Craft & Relic

re:Craft and Relic is a two-day, indoor, ticketed shopping and entertainment event held three times a year at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex in Franklin, WI.  re:Craft and Relic exists to support an economy of makers and artisans who create and source quality handmade and one-of-a-kind products.

As our name playfully indicates, our focus is re(garding) craft…both the concept of craft as a whole and as it applies to re-purposing/reclaiming/recycling materials. Additionally, “Relic” is a nod to vintage and antique goods and supplies, whether up-cycled, restored, or left in their aged glory. Each event is unique, creating an exciting destination market mix of artisans, makers, up-cyclers, collectors, curators, and self-proclaimed Junkers.

Join thousands of Etsy-loving, Pinterest obsessed and DIY enthusiasts shopping for everything from shabby chic to European antiques, salvaged items, vintage and antique furniture for the home and garden, architectural salvage, vintage-inspired jewelry, repurposed and upcycled treasures, and beautiful handmade clothing. Our 150+ vendors travel from across the Midwest to bring you knitwear, fiber arts, home décor, furniture, apparel, handbags, accessories, children’s items, kitchen wares, silkscreened gifts, prints and illustrations, bath and body products, greeting cards, ceramics and pottery, artisanal food products, and many other unique items.

In addition to fantastic shopping, re:Craft and Relic offers "make and take" crafts, demonstrations, and other activities to surprise and delight our attendees.
